Where do you shoot?
Studio and outdoor locations. Before your session we will discuss clothing, location, poses and exchange ideas to ensure we are capturing YOUR moment.
Where are you based and do you travel?
Kathy Alene Photography is based in San Antonio, Texas but will travel to Austin, Texas and surrounding San Antonio areas. If you would like me to travel to photograph your story outside of mentioned areas, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. Overnight sessions will require travel and hotel fee.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive "sneak peak" photos a few days after the session.
After that, an online gallery link with all your photos will be provided within 8 weeks (normally less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
I will always choose quality over quantity. The amount depends on the package you select. For example, weddings will normally receive between 250-350 while portraits may receive a minimum of 15. Of those photos, you will choose your favorites (according to your package) what will be edited.
Can I change outfits?
Absolutely! You can have as many outfit changes that fit into the session allotted time. Note: A portable dressing room can be supplied for all outdoor sessions.
When is the best time to schedule our photo session?
Normally, early morning and sunset are the best times but don't let that stop you. We will make any time work for your session.
Can you suggest photo locations?
Absolutely! Although it's best to select a location that means something to you, there are several beautiful locations I can recommend. It is important to mention, some locations require additional fees to use their grounds (i.e., the McNay Museum, Frank Madla Nature Area, etc.). Those fees are paid by the client.
do you have liability insurance?
Absolutely!
May I change my session time/package on the "day of"?
Sure! As long as there is no scheduling conflict. We will adjust the shooting time and payment. Please read the contract if changing the date.
do i have to order prints through you?
No, you do not. But note, I use a local, professional photo lab which delivers high quality paper and finishes. They also offer other professional grade products such as metallic prints, canvas, and wooden (prices vary)
